DataPro participated in the IXth annual international conference “DC-2014”, which was held on September 4-5, 2014 in Moscow in the Digital October Center.

The DataPro pavilion provided the exact replica of existing data centers: DataPro Moscow Data Center and DataPro Tver Data Center, being a part of DataPro data centers chain. Visitors who came into the DataPro pavilion asked the Company’s representatives about the new data center – DataPro Moscow Data Center, the first stage of which was launched in August 2014.

Other visitors congratulated the Company’s Management Board for Tier IIIDesign Certification by Uptime Institute for the new flagship data center in Moscow.

DataPro Moscow Data Center at Aviamotornaya Street, 69 is one Russia’s most ambitious projects in the data storage and IT industries. Before the end of this year the company plans to start the process of obtaining Tier IIIUptime Institute Facility Certification both for the Moscow Data Center and the Tver Data Center. In 2015 all operating processes of DataPro Moscow Data Center will get Operational Sustainability Certification.

Evgeny Bogdanchikov, DataPro Executive Director, mentioned that “DC-2014” – the main professional event dedicated to the design, construction, operation and data center services in which DataPro has participated as a Gold Sponsor for a number of years.

His speech was accompanied by a creative video which became the highlight of the conference plenary meeting.

The speech performed by Alexey Soldatov, Director General of DataPro, in the section “Data center design, construction and operation” was devoted to the first operating experience of the EcoBreeze module-based system in DataPro Moscow Data Center and gathered a large audience of technical experts.

According to Soldatov, following careful and detailed consideration of competitive systems, DataPro specialists decided to use Schneider Electric’s modular solution, based on the data center internal air cooling by means of outside air through the heat exchanger.

The use of EcoBreeze together with different energy-efficient components of the data center engineering infrastructure results in achieving annual average PUE of the entire DataPro Moscow Data Center within 1.25-1.3.

Provided that electricity prices in Russia continue to grow, the DataPro Moscow Data Center has significant competitive advantages.

“The use of energy-efficient solutions in the construction of the DataPro Moscow Data Center will lead to unique energy performance indicators, as in our climate EcoBreeze can cool down the IT load without the need to energize the Freon loop, spending a minimum amount of electric power. According to our calculations, the solution based on EcoBreeze can achieve an annual average energy efficiency of the cooling system at the rate of 1.1 instead of 1.5-1.7 as in traditional cooling systems. This means that our energy costs are 20-30% lower compared to the use of traditional cooling systems”, said Alexey Soldatov, summarizing his speech.
