The first DataPro data center, built in Tver and commissioned in November 2013, was awarded Tier III Design by Uptime Institute. Design solution is intended for 400 racks with a power consumption of 7 kW; total capacity of 4.5 MW.
According to Alexey Soldatov, Director General of DataPro, during the certification process of Tver data center Uptime Institute specialists had no crucial points of concern regarding the project implementation. The next step will be the data center Tier III Facility Certification for reliability and then Operational Sustainability Certification.
Strategic concepts taken by DataPro are focused on the expansion of rapid data centers on the Russian market. For this purpose, DataPro Management Board plans to commission at least 1,000 racks on an annual basis. Thereby all data centers are to be certified by DataPro compliant with all categories of sustainability.
Today DataPro is building Russia’s largest data center at Aviamotornaya Street in Moscow. The total capacity of this facility will be over 20 MW; the first stage of its commissioning is scheduled for summer of 2014.
“Over the next four years, we plan to build and certify at least another two large data centers in addition to the data center in Tver,” said Alexey Soldatov. “All of them will be connected in the data centers network that will help to implement complex scenarios for business continuity.
