DATAPRO MOSCOW DC WAS AWARDED TIER III DESIGN CERTIFICATION BY THE UPTIME INSTITUTE

The DataPro flagship data center, located in Moscow at Aviamotornaya Street, was awarded Tier III Design Certification on the Fault Tolerance Level by Uptime Institute (UI). This facility is designed for 3,000 racks total rated to over 20 MW.

“Our Company’s top priority is to provide data center services that meet the highest international standards in Russia, so Uptime Institute Certification is a logical step in the Company’s development. By the end of the year, we plan to begin the process of obtaining the Uptime Institute Certification subject to Facility Sustainability for both the Moscow data center and the Tver data center. And in 2015 all operating processes of the Data Center will get Operational Sustainability Certification. Within the frameworks of this stage two DataPro employees have already passed the certification as Accredited Tier Specialists,” said Alexey Soldatov, Director General of DataPro.

The new DataPro data center at Aviamotornaya Street will become the largest data center not only in the metropolitan area, but also throughout Eastern Europe. Its total area is 16,000 square meters suitable for 3,000 racks. The Data center was built in record breaking time – construction works started in February 2014 and by the end of August the first stage of the data center for 400 racks will have been completed. The second stage of equal dimensions will be ready by the end of October. In the nearest future it is planned to increase capacity with regard to the data center loading.

“Our flagship data center at Aviamotornaya Street, 69 is one of the most ambitious projects in industry, started in the territory of Russia. It is extremely important for us to certify all technologies and solutions used, allowing us to ensure maximum operational sustainability of the data center to ensure business continuity for all our clients,” said Alexey Soldatov.
